Kyudo experience at the Komoro Castle with its 400-year history, and walking around Nunobiki Kannon(Shakusonji Temple) that is known and described as the Kiyomizudera Temple in Nagano
Enjoy Kyudo at the solemn Komoro Kaikoen Shain (Kyudo training hall) after changing into Kyudo practice wear. The Kyudo training hall is located in Komoro Castle Ruins Kaikoen that is known as the only “castle in a hole” in Japan. Beginners can also enjoy Kyudo: Members of the Komoro Kyudo club (in which there is a Kyudo player who won the top position in the National Athletic Meet for two years) will kindly show you how to play Kyudo.After enjoyed playing Kyudo, you will visit Nunobiki Kannon (Shakusonji Temple) built by the cliff, that is known and described as the Kiyomizudera Temple in Shinshu (Nagano). It is one of the renowned temples built circa 1300s, and also known as the hidden beauty spot of the beautiful autumn leaves among the locals. As climbing up to the temple for 30 minutes, you can have an experience of the ancient Japanese solemn belief such as uniquely shaped rocks, waterfalls, coves and Buddha statues on the way to the temple.
